Au début de l'An 3 (1795), La Convention, a du mal à contenir les émeutes à Paris. Pendant la Journée du 1er prairial an III , la foule se porte par surprise à la Convention pour réclamer du pain et force l'entrée. Étant chargé de l'approvisionnement de Paris depuis le mois de mai 1795, le Député Jean-Bertrand Féraud est tué. Sa tête est tranchée et promenée au bout d'une pique dans les rues de Paris.

During the Day of the 1st prairial year III, the crowd goes by surprise to the Convention to ask for bread and forces the entrance. Being in charge of supplying Paris since May 1795, the Deputy Jean-Bertrand Féraud was killed. His head was cut off and walked at the end of a pike through the streets of Paris.
