(Allemagne) le 23 Pluviôse An 10 (12 février 1802). Congé de Retraite au citoyen Conrad NIKELS, dit NIKELS Tambour de la 3ème Compagnie, natif du département de la MEURTHE. Ce militaire sert depuis 1778 et s'est toujours comporté avec honneur et bravoure. Au verso, certificat de visite médicale de l'Hôpital de Cologne. Estropié, «il éprouve de la gêne en marchant, ayant eu les pieds gelés dans la première Campagne des Grisons.» Brevet gravé (26 x 39 cm) rempli à l'encre.

Retirement Leave to the citizen Conrad NIKELS, known as NIKELS Drummer of the 3rd Company, native of the department of MEURTHE. This soldier has served since 1778 and has always behaved with honour and bravery. On the back, certificate of medical examination from the Hospital of Cologne. Crippled, "he feels discomfort when walking, having had frozen feet in the first Graubünden Campaign." Engraved patent (26 x 39 cm) filled in ink.
