Lettre A.S. «Prosper Duvergier de Hauranne» écrite du Château d'HERRY (Cher) le 24 Septembre 1827, de 3pp in-4°. «Monsieur, ce qui doit distinguer la France libérale de la France ministérielle et jésuitique, c'est la justice quand un fonctionnaire public fait mal, que rien ne nous empêche de le flétrir aux yeux des concitoyens. S'il fait bien, sachons aussi le dire, ne fut-ce que pour prouver qu'il est d'honnête gens partout. Aidez-moi donc à rendre hommage à l'honorable conduite de Mr le Préfet du CHER dans la formation des listes électorales. Chargé avec le Comte Jaubert, mon beau-frère de porter à Bourges les pièces de plusieurs électeurs, nous nous sommes présentés hier à la préfecture où nous n'avons trouvé que politesse et loyauté.
