WELLS, Herbert George (1866-1946). Lettre autographe signée, à l'écrivain Paul Reboux. Hotel Miramar, Mont Estoril, Portugal, 17 février 1924. 1 p. in-4.

Paul Reboux, qui préparait alors un ouvrage en hommage à Anatole France (qui décédera en octobre de cette même année 1924), demanda un texte à H.G. Wells, qui accepta.
"Dear Sir, you letter has just reach me here. It has been a little delayed by the postal state here. I shall be very glad to be included in the list of these who rendent hommage to our great master. You do me the honor to ask for me a special piece of writing about him, that I shall be very proud to do. I will send it to you before the end of the month [] ».
