Disegno acquarellato su carta. 444x325 mm. Penna nera e acquarello monocromatico su tonalità nocciola. Disegno controfondato. Buono stato di conservazione.

Grandiosa e complessa rappresentazione, con la Santa Trinità che incorona la Vergine, venerata da due Cherubini in ginocchio. In primo piano, ai lati, due angeli musici con liuto e arpa. La scena centrale è incorniciata da una folla di angeli e putti che escono dalle nuvole. Il pittore senese, influenzato dal Barocci e dal Veronese, fu un eminente rappresentante del manierismo del tardo XVI secolo.

Grand and complex representation, with the Holy Trinity crowning the Virgin, venerated by two kneeling cherubs. In the foreground, on the sides, two musical angels with lute and harp. The central scene is framed by a crowd of angels and cherubs emerging from the clouds. The Sienese painter, influenced by Barocci and Veronese, was an eminent representative of the mannerism of the late sixteenth century.
