Xilografia policroma. 350x238 mm., Rifilata entro i margini. In basso a sinistra la firma "Toyokuni ga" nel cartiglio arancione, sopra il cartiglio due sigilli, un sigillo circolare del censore e un sigillo ovale con la data zodiacale. Qualche piccolo difetto.

Scena da teatro Kabuki con due attori che conversano, una dama seduta e un giovane uomo con una piccola pipa in mano. Kunisada si è specializzato nel proporre alcune delle storie più popolari del teatro Kabuki nelle sue magnifiche incisioni policrome. Dal 1850 circa in poi quasi le sue stampe hanno la firma racchiusa in un cartiglio di Toshidama. Solo fino al 1860 la maggior parte delle stampe erano firmate solo con "Toyokuni ga" in questi cartigli, per lo più rossi ma anche di colore giallo, blu o verde.La datazione si evince dalla presenza rispettivamente del Toshidama color arancio con la firma "Toyokuni ga" utilizzata da Utagawa Kunisada dal 1850 al 1860 circa, e dalla presenza dei due sigilli dei censori, uno rotondo con il carattere “aratame” e uno ovale con la data zodiacale. Polychrome woodcut. 350x238 mm., Trimmed within the margins. Bottom left the signature "Toyokuni ga" in the orange cartouche, above the cartouche two seals, a circular seal of the censor and an oval seal with the zodiacal date. Few little defects.

Kabuki theater scene with two actors conversing, a seated lady and a young man with a small pipe in his hand. Kunisada has specialized in proposing some of the most popular stories of Kabuki theater in his magnificent polychrome engravings. From about 1850 onwards almost his prints have his signature enclosed in a cartouche by Toshidama. Only until 1860 most of the prints were signed only with "Toyokuni ga" in these cartouches, mostly red but also yellow, blue or green.The dating is evident from the presence of the orange colored Toshidama with the signature "Toyokuni ga" used by Utagawa Kunisada from about 1850 to 1860 respectively, and from the presence of the two seals of the censors, one round with the character "aratame" and one oval with the zodiac date.
