In-4°; 82 pl. (text pp. browned and pl. slightly, foxing, small marginal dampstain on pl. 50, margin of the 1st map partly teared).
Modern binding : green cloth, flat spine (flyleaves renewed).

ATLAS ONLY complete of the 3 folding maps and 79 plates figuring Bruce's portrait, autochtons in traditional costumes, plants and flowers, animals, etc. The travel writer Bruce (1730-1794) confused the source of the Nile Blue with the one of the Nile, but discovered the confluent with the White Nile in 1771.
