In-4° oblong : [4]-4 pp.; 27 pl. protected by legended tissue guards (some foxing).
Publisher's binding : dark redbrown half cloth, illustrated upper board, flat spine (corners and turn ins dulled, lower board slightly rubbed).
27 coloured chromolithographies (1st ed. : 1895 ?) by Daniel Perea (1836-1909), illustrator and the artistic director of the famous bullfighting magazine "La Lidia". Mostly depicting scenes of bullfighting, accompanied by explanatory texts in Spanish, English and French on the tissue guards. With a decorated score of the "Marcha de la Manoleria", part of the zarzuela "Pan Toros" by composer Francisco Asenjo Barbieri (1823-1894). Upper board illustrated with a beautiful full-page chromolithography in colour.
