Contemporary binding : sprinkled calf, boards with double gilt fillet and roll-stamps, gilt decorated ribbed spine, gilt edges (partly rubbed, some scratches, one corner dulled, label on lower pastedown).
Old Testament IN HEBREW, edited by the talmudist and director of the Abi Yetomim orphanage in Amsterdam, David Nuñez Torres (+ 1728 ?). He was then called in The Hague as the Hakham, the "Wise", of the Spanish and Portuguese community. The same year an edition was published with the commentary of the French rabbi Rashi or Shlomo Ytzchaki (1040-1105).
