Description
Stockholm, Albert Bonniers, [ 1861]. In-12° oblong : [4]-47 pp.; 22 pl. (some small foxing, 2 light stains on pl. 11, maps browned, fresh condition). Publisher's binding : purple shagreen buckram, boards encircled with a blind fillet with angular fleurons, gilt title on upper board, flat spine (stains of which some white, one large on upper board, small lack on lower board). Album with 2 folding maps captioned in Swedish and French, one heightened, and with 20 lovely tinted lithographs showing landscapes and town views along the route of Götha Canal from Stockholm to Göteberg (Vreta Abbey, Motala, Läckö Castle, Trollhättan...). Accompanied with descriptive texts of the dramatist and poet Hedberg (1828-1908).
