Small in-8° : [75] lvs (ends with Kiii, browned, upper margin of title-page repaired, small wormholes, small stains).
19th century binding : sprinkled paper, flat spine (spine, joints, part of the boards and one corner renewed, edges and corners dulled, long notice catalogue stuck on the upper pastedown).
RARE EDITION of this earliest dictionary of Latin synonyms (1st ed. : Wittenberg, 1513) by Wildenburg (1465-1558), Silesian physicist and humanist. Work divided in 2 parts, the first giving German words with their Latin translations and wide choice of synonyms, the second listing Latin expressions, alphabetically arranged according to the main word. Book reprinted at least 20 times. Text decorated with ornemental initials.
