In our edition, the Reynard-epic is followed by the "Koker", a collection of proverbs in verse, arranged alphabetically, which Hackmann took from the work of Herman Bote (c. 1460-c. 1520), a popular author, custom house servant and innkeeper at Braunschweig.
With large woodcut frontispiece figuring Reynard throwing arrows at the court of animals.
# Menke VI, 5.
Provenance : Garmt Stuiveling (1907-1985), Dutch literary author and social reformer (bookplate).
