Bussotti e Pisano: ”This edition corrects some mistakes (especially print-mistakes) of theFIRST EDITION.
It is in three volumes corresponding to the three books of the Principia (Newton, 1760).” Babson: “Important pieces... These represent all that was done on the theory of tides between the publication of Newton's Principia and the investigations of Laplace.”
