2 parts in 1 vol. in-4° : [286], [159 (on 162)] lvs (lvs a1-2 (table) and T10 (blank) missing, delicately washed copy ?, a few contemporary handwritten notes in ink). 19th Century binding in 16th Century style : light-coloured calf, richly blind stamped boards with crosswise fillets, floral roll-stamps and fleurons, blind stamped ribbed spine (slightly rubbed, joints partly split).
VERY RARE EDITIO PRINCEPS of this collection of sermons for the advent and for the lent by the Italian Franciscan preacher Carcano (Milan 1427-1484). Treats a.o. the sins of gluttony, laziness, rage and envy. Very nice Gothic typography on 2 columns.
