London, James Imray & Son, 1868. 4 copper engravings, 65 x 100 cm each, assembled and mounted on blue green paper with a total size of approx. 100 x 260 cm (browned, stains, marg. tears, places indicated with red dots). In roll. VERY LARGE CHART of the Mediterranean Sea with 28 inset maps of the principal harbours including Cadiz, Barcelona, Nice, Algiers, Palermo, Gibraltar, etc. The original map in one sheet, published in 1852 by James Imray (1803-1870), was later completed with new additions. As such it became one of the earliest charts published under the partnership with his son James Frederick Imray (1829-1891). With 2 retailer's labels.
