Description
pl. (vol. XIII missing, some foxing, 1 plate unbound in vol. IV, stains or small dampstains to some margins, some pp. +/- browned, vol. X entirely and slightly browned).



Contemporary binding : threequarter green calf, marbled paper boards, gilt decorated ribbed spines, marbled edges matching the endpapers (most of the spines rubbed, joints and some plates also rubbed, scratches, small wears, some corners dulled).

Illustrated with woodcuts, full-pages and plates in black and with 175 plates in colour, partly heightened with arabic gum (1 folding).

The Florist became "The Florist and Garden" from 1849-1850, the "Florist, Fruitist and Garden" from 1851-1861 and finally "The Florist and Pomolist" from 1862 until its conclusion in 1884.
