London, Henry and Co, 1896-1897, 2 vol., 4to, orig. brown publ. cloth, gilt dove design by Charles Rickets to upper boards (corners sl. bumped), gilt flat spines, edges untrimmed, decorative endpapers by Lucien Pissarro, 243-[1 bl.]-viii-[1-1 bl.], [8]-266-iv-[4] pp. (a few faint sprays of spotting on 1st and last ff. of vol. 2). Very good set. important periodical that originated from the close artistic and literary collaboration of artists of the end of the 19th c. Illustrated throughout with 44 monochrome and colour plates. Vol. I contains the 1st publication of 2 poems by W. B. Yeats as well as an orig. lithograph by James M’Neil Whistler; among other authors e.a. A. Dobson, J. Gray, R. Bridges, etc. Vol. II contains plates by L. Pissarro, W. Crane, E. Burne-Jones, etc.
