Catéchisme destiné à l'usage et à l'instruction des adolescents dont la première édition fut publiée en 1820. William Pinnock (1782-1843) était éditeur et auteur d'ouvrages d'éducation juvénile. La série des catéchismes fut la première publication couronnée de succès. D'une manière très didactique ces manuels étaient rythmés par des questions et réponses. Son catéchisme pour la perspective suit le même schéma et aborde toutes les questions théoriques et pratiques relatives au dessin.
