Lettre autographe signée adressé à son marchand d'art moderne parisien, Georges Chéron, illustrée d'un dessin original à l'aquarelle et crayon, représentant un peintre, luimême, peignant la vue d'une église, celle de La Comelle en Saône-et-Loire, lieu de ses vacances: «[...] Je travaille avec beaucoup d'ardeur des toiles assez grandes et je fais des dessins profitant de mes petits modèles qui viennent pour poser. L'école est transformée en atelier [...] Les bons paysans viennent nous rendre visites, car ils sont très curieux et tous veulent voir comment travaille le peintre de Paris-Dimanche [...]».

Makowski s'établit à Paris en 1909 et sera influencé par le Cubisme et le Fauvisme.

Signed autograph letter addressed to his Parisian modern art dealer, Georges Chéron, illustrated with an original drawing in watercolor and pencil, representing a painter, himself, painting the view of a church, that of La Comelle in Saône-et-Loire, the place of his holidays: "[...] I work with a lot of ardor on rather large canvases and I make drawings taking advantage of my small models who come to pose. The school is transformed into a studio [...] The good farmers come to visit us, because they are very curious and all want to see how the painter from Paris-Dimanche works [...]".
