Au verso du billet figure un petit DESSIN original à l'encre de Michaux.
«[...] Tant d'allégresse et de vaillance n'est plus. Accablante nouvelle qu'on apprend sans pouvoir l'imaginer, et tout ce qui pour vous d'un coup disparait, cher ami [...]».

On the back of the note is a small original DRAWING in Michaux ink.
"[...] So much joy and valour is no more. Overwhelming news that one learns without being able to imagine it, and everything that for you suddenly disappears, dear friend [...]".
