DD-[DD6], EE-[EE6], [FF-FF6], GG-[GG6], HH-[HH6] - 1 ff. bl., II-[II6], KK-[KK6], LL-LL3], en latin. Peau de truie estampée sur ais de bois biseautés, multiples filets et roulettes estampés à froid avec petits médaillons ornés de portraits, médaillon central serti de roulettes, cachet aux armes non identifiées et fleurons à froid, dos à nerfs avec pièce de titre estampée à froid (reliure d'époque). épître dédicatoire. Vie de Sénèque. Vignettes et lettrines ornées. À noter que le feuillet de titre a été découpé et restauré visiblement au XVIIIe siècle avec le titre manuscrit rapporté ainsi que la date de 1529. Annotations marginales d'époque, manuscrites à l'encre (pp. 273, 279) et en latin. Bel exemplaire dans une riche reliure d'époque en peau de truie. Sowhide stamped on bevelled wooden ais, multiple fillets and cold-stamped castors with small portrait medallions, central medallion set with castors, stamp with unidentified arms and cold-stamped fleurons, spine with ribs and cold-stamped title coin (period binding). Dedication epistle. Life of Seneca. Ornate vignettes and lettering. Note that the title page was cut out and visibly restored in the 18th century with the manuscript title brought back and the date 1529. Marginal period annotations, manuscripts in ink (pp. 273, 279) and Latin. A fine copy in a rich period sowskin binding (first notebook detached; top cover jaws partially broken, skin on the lower cover).
