On the Venetians and the Turks, on the "revolta di Fiandra", on a visit of the wife of Alvaro di Sando, etc. 2. Letter, signed "Alexandre" to the Lord of Montigny, written "Du camp a Bruges Le xxx Jour D Octobre 1578", paper, bifolium, c. 32 x 21 cm, sealed, mounted in a volume bound in boards covered with vellum-like paper, 4 ff. In French. Lord of Montigny, i.e. Emanuel Philibert de Lalaing (1557-1590), leader of the "Malcontents" in Hainaut. Joined a French catalogue cutting, - an engraved equestrian portrait of Farnese by Raphael Sadeler after Giovanni Caraca, - a typed English translation, - a typed English description.
