Description
With 41 coloured pl.: 30 handcol. lithographies by L. Snelling and 10 chromolithogr. by M. Stones. Parts 1-7 are by A. Grove and A.D. Cotton dated 1933-1940, the final parts 8 and 9 by W.B. Turrill are dated 1960-1962.  H.J. Elwes (1846-1922) was a British botanist, collector and traveller who became renowned for collecting specimens of lilies during trips to the Himalayas and Korea.
