Fascinating document on (ecclesiastical) life in late medieval Girona (and Catalonia) 1496-1498, compiled by Johan Beuda, canon of the Cathedral Church of Saint Mary and principal of its Latin School. The detailed account of his expenses and income is a “Fundgrube” for local social and economic historians, linguists etc., and an interesting source for prosopographical research. On f. [1] a Latin list of ecclesiastical dignitaries involved, i.a. "episcopus, archidiaconus, sacrista". Some names: “don Jaime de Cardona, Sagrista maior”, “Barthomeu Strada cirurgia y familiar de nostro santo pare alexandro sesto” (a “Barthomeu Strada” is listed in the "fogatge" ["hearth tax"] of 1497).
