Description
upper half of last ff., some minor thumbing). Very good copy.
Extr. rare (unique copy ?) high quality ed. with calligraphic examples by an accomplished master. Texts in Dutch, French, Spanish or Latin. With Jansen’s devices “Al doende leert men / En faisant on apprend” and “Niet de pen maer tgebruyck”. He probably was a Catholic master (plates with “Magnificat” and “IHS”). No further biographic information concerning Peeter Jansen could be found. Nice drawings of  women, and of some animals (e.g. a crocodile). Some well-drawn pen and pencil illustrations on front endpaper.
