Description
light foxing, lower corner of p. 193 lacking, a few marginal tears with small or without loss, wormholes at the end). Contemporary binding (?) : calf on wooden boards, blind decorated boards from an other edition stuck on the covers, ribbed spine with gilt title, place and date (joints partly split, small part of leather unstuck on the upper board, turn ins lacking, corners dulled).
Rare second edition (1st ed. : 1557) of this antholgy of various subjects treated in the Bible ("Adulatio", "Ebrietas", "Idolatriae prohibitio stricta"...) given with the verses and their references. Collection adapted by the Irish anthologist and indexer Thomas Hibernicus (1295- c. 1338). # BT I-457; # not in Machiels, Adams, Soltész, BB, Barbier.
