Contemporary binding : pigskin, boards decorated with blind tooled roll-stamps (floral and portraits), ribbed spine (slightly rubbed, upper joint partly split). Very rare first edition of this biblical encyclopaedia and commentaries. With woodcut illustrations : 1 full-page portrait of Aaron, 1 diagram in texto and printer's marks on the title-page and on the last page, several ornamental initials.
