Ii, some scratches or parts slightly rubbed, copy slighy trimmed). Second edition (1st ed. : 1797-1798) given by the biographer and bibliographer Pellicer (1738-1806), the ninth volume being the biography of Cervantes. Illustrated with an allegorical frontispiece by Juan Moreno de Tejada after Luis Paret y Alc^zar, Cervantes portrait in a medallion by Tejada, 3 folding maps among which one figuring Don Quichotte's journey with borders heightened. Text in a neat typography decorated with 32 historiated head-pieces by Luis Paret y Alc^zar and Francisco Alc^ntara, engraved by Juan Moreno Tejada and Blas Ametller. The pages showing a head-piece contain the number of the page to which the illustration is referring.
