Description
calf, brown buckram boards with central brass medallion, ribbed spine with red label (clasps partially lacking, rubbed spine). Roman Catholic Bible, but with the Epistles and the Apocalypse in Luther's version, translated by the Dominican friar Johann Dietenberger (c. 1475-1537) and with more than 100 woodcuts, mostly signed Virgil Solis, within ornamental frames.
