Description
The larder after Maarten De Vos, 1775, 45 x 57,5 cm. - A fruit market after Snyders and Long John, 41 x 57 cm. Some marg. fox. and dampst. -  A fish market after Snyders and Long John, 1782, 42 x 58 cm. Margins fox. and dampst. Those paintings were present in the Houghton collection, i.e. Sir Robert Walpole’s celebrated collection, the bulk of which was sold to Catherine the Great of Russia in 1779 and which to this day remains one of the greatest treasures of the Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg.
