Description
leather border and titled "Photographs", gilt orn. flat spine. All pictures in good impression, carefully preserved in a flawless binding. 
Representing Bombay (3 incl. "Railway Station"), Ahmedabad (4, street scenes and "Façade of the Great Mosque"), Jaipur (2 with i.a. "Elephant taking a long drink"), Amber (2), Agra (4 incl. "The Taj" and a pavilion in the fortress), old Delhi (2), Benares (10, various views of the Ganges, "The burning Ghât", bathing scenes, etc.). Also containing 2 views of Florence and 1 of the Leman Lake. Autogr. dedic. of William Walton to Henry Savage Landor, dated Florence, March 1897. Arnold Henry Savage Landor (Florence 1865–1924) was a painter, explorer, writer, and anthropologist, author of numerous travel relations.
