Description
2 parts : 1. Dutch manuscript on paper, c. 40 x 25 cm, some 120 (of 400?) ff. (a number of ff. cut out, 32 of these loosely added) + 2 manuscript maps + “Ontfanck der pontpenninghen” (1767-1794) + “Evaluatie van den Cheijnsboeck” + some sm. documents loosely inserted. 2. Made-up atlas, bound at front. Maps dampstained otherwise very good condition.
Important documents for the history of Kerkom and Bijvoorden (Brabant). The ms. maps titled “Caerten figuratief van de goederen gelegen onder de heerelijckheidt van Kerckem competerende aen den heere Grave vandermeere Baron van Bouterssem &c.”. The made-up atlas consists of : a loosely inserted t.-p. of Brions’s “Atlas général, civil ...” (Paris 1790) and 42 double-page engr. maps, numbered 2-43, from Brion’s “Atlas ecclésiastique” (Paris 1766), incl. a "Mappemonde" (1763) + engr. t.-p. On verso of the former f. 7 (now loose) of the "Cheyns-boeck" is a full-page pastel of hay stacks (20th c.?).
