Description
In German. He's delighted that "die deutsche Madonna" finally appears in an issue of "Kunst und Künstler" (1904). In the 2nd letter he gives his permission to reproduce the portrait of "Frau B. No. 248" in the catalog of Secession (1909). J.P. Veth (1864-1925) was a Dutch painter mostly of portraits. He painted famous Dutch and German contemporaries. In that time Heilbut (1861-1921, German art collector and critic) was co-editor of the German art magazine "Kunst und Künstler" together with Cäsar Flaischlen published by Verlag Bruno Cassirer.
