Description
Manuscript in black ink with numerous corrections, cross-outs and some autogr. notes on the first page. One of the very first works of Koechlin (Suite pour deux pianos, op. 6, 1896). I Andantino dolce (legg. e non troppo lento), dedic. to L. Salomon (7 p.); II Andantino con moto, dedic. to J. Berny (5 p.); III Andantino con moto quasi allegro, dedic. to Jean Huré (9 p.) and IV Andantino quasi allegretto. Poco scherzando, dedic. to Juliette Toutain (10 p.). The manuscript was used for the engr. edition by Alphonse Leduc in 1896 (PN 10186). Koechlin (1867-1950) was a French composer with higly eclectic inspiration and interests which he expressed in his extensive list of compositions.
