Description
Rare globe in sharkskin, possibly made by the English cartographer L. Cushee, nephew (?) of Richard Cushee (1696-c.1734), globe maker and publisher. L. Cushee made pocket globes until about 1760. Inside is an orig. col. engr. celestial map with the zodiac maps of the heavens. The sphere of the earth which is sometimes found inside is not present here.
