Claes (1805-1832) was editor of the “Courrier des Pays-Bas”, a journal of the liberal opposition against King Willem I, and one of the members of the Belgian National Congress. On p. 147 stamp of “Doctrina et Amicitia. Societas Civium Academ. Lovan.” (Louvain student society, founded 1827).
