ecclestiastical archival record, dated 5 August 1647, titled on front cover “Interpretatio processus de partibus”), [122] ff. expertly written in brown ink (2 parts numbered 2-9, 1-112 + 1 blank). Good condition.
Extensive eye-witness reports of the state of the church in Perpignan, Roussillon and Catalonia for the year 1647. The region, part of Catalonia, was definitively acquired by France in 1659 by the Treaty of the Pyrenees. Pt. 1 (ff. 2-9) consists of a letter by Clemens IX (Pope 1667-1669) to the Archbishops of Tarragona, Barcelona and Girona.
