Extr rare variant ed. or issue of this combined ed. of 2 works by M. Lambrecht (1539-1602), 3rd bishop of Bruges. Pt. 1 is a repr. of the original Louvain ed. Pt. 2 is the 2nd Verdussen ed. (1st 1595). The work consist of (1) a Saints’ Calendar with short biographies, (2) a treatise “Van Antekerst”, (3) a “Tafel der heylighen”, and (4) a Church history. Engraved title. 2nd title printed with boorder of woodcut ills. Some 170 woodcut portraits of saints, i.a. Genoveva, Gudula, Antonius, Brigida, Apolonia, Rochus, Martinus, Nicolaas etc. Printed in gothic type in 2 cols. Some lines censored (pp. 114-115 of pt. 2).
