[bound with] IDEM – De constantia libri duo [8th ed.]. Paris, (A. Cotinet for J. & P. Mettayer), 1 Febr. 1601, [12]-102 (= 100)-[8] ff., 2 works in 1 vol., 12mo, richly goldtooled cont. leather (rubbed lower cover bumped at top), covers with gilt ornamental borders and lozenge shaped central ornament, gilt flat spine (head and tail def.), a.e.g. (paper age-toned, some marg. staining, Z4v and 2nd title underlaid, blank upper half of I12 of 2nd work cut off and lower half pasted on verso of I11). Good copy 
1. Unrecorded re-issue of the 1599 Paris ed. (Cotinet for Wid. G. Buon) of a collection of Lipsius’ letters and his treatise on letter-writing. Woodcut mark on title.
