manuscript on paper, c. 23,5 x 19 cm, 241 pp. (pen numbering), cont. half sheep (rubbed), marbl. paper on covers, gilt flat spine, marbl. endpapers. In good condition. Autograph copy of a course collection of French poetry, written by the young Frédéric-Auguste de Reiffenberg (Mons 1795 – Brussels 1850), historian and keeper of the Royal Library. With additional material: 1. Pasted on front flyleaves: Short note "Offert à Monsieur A. Corbisier par son parent et ami Fr. de Reiffenberg". - Lithograph portrait of R. by Falmagne (1851). - Autograph letter, 2 ff., by R. to "A. Le Roy, bibliothécaire (...) Valenciennes" (stating i.a. “Nous venons de fonder ici une société de Bibliophiles belges”). - French poem by R., 2 ff., "Adieux à l’Athénée de Bruxelles". 2. Loosely inserted: manuscript copy (by R.?) of French verses and letters, 12 ff., c. 20 x 16 cm, with pink and blue border. - Biographical notice of R.
