4to, cont. calf (corners sl. rubbed), gilt orn. spine (some def., joints splitting, some repairs), red edges, [6]-xxv-[1]-782-[2 bl.] pp. (some spotting on margins & pls., sm. tear in p. 73). Later ed. (1st 1675) of this widely spread scientifical work by Lemery (1645-1715), augm. by H.T. Baron (1715-1767). Ill. with an engr. headpiece and 9 folding pl. (numb. 1-7 + 2 unnumb.) showing chemical instruments and chemical symbols (2 pl.). Woodcut ornament on title.
