très honoré de l'invitation qu'il reçoit mais ne peut l'accepter. En raison de son travail, il lui est impossible de programmer un déplacement car il y a de fortes chances qu'il se trouve au beau milieu d'un tournage. Finalement Hitchcock ne tournera pas cette année-là; son dernier thriller, Frenzy, sort début juin 1972. Hitchcock faces a dilemma: he is very honoured by the invitation he receives but cannot accept it. Because of his job, he cannot schedule a trip because there is a good chance he will be in the middle of shooting. In the end, Hitchcock did not film that year; his last thriller, Frenzy, was released in early June 1972.
