Orig. ed. of this fully engraved score of Brahms' Requiem composed during 3 key moments in his life, for the most part after his mother's death in 1865. The oratory was a setting of texts which Brahms selected from the Luther Bible. His largest choral work went into premiere in Bremen, in 1868 and confirmed his European reputation. Bookpl.
