Description
marbled endpapers (paper age-toned, bottom corner dampstained at beginning and end), [1]-184-[75, some blank] ff., written in brown ink in a semi-calligraphic hand, with pen decoration. In very good condition.
Well-written manuscript copy of the "Hymni sacri et novi" of the Neolatin poet Santolius (1628-1684), after the ed. Paris 1689. They consist of 53 hymns for saints' days and the Great Festivals of the Church's year, and of 12 hymns for collective and general use for martyrs, bishops etc. With some liturgical music. The 2nd work is a geographical survey of Europe (61 ff.), with Latin place names and French trsls. On f. 1r is pasted a half-sheet with a French epitaph of Louis Ellies Du Pin (1657-1719). The last ff. have "L'extrait d'une lettre de M. de Comange à M. de Pamiers" (22 January 1668).
