Description
(pp. 15-18, 79-84, 103-106, 205-214, 505-506 and last 20 pp. missing, errors in pagination, some lvs shortly cut, small drawing with pen on title-page). Contemporary Dutch binding : vellum, flat spine with ink title (traces of ties, some stains, rebound in original binding and cover lvs renewed). First edition of the translation by the German humanistic poet Hartmann Schopper (1542-after 1595), illustrated with 46 (of 52) little woodcuts throughout the text engraved by Jost Amman (mostly monogrammed) from Virgil Solis' designs.
