Description
Double frontispice en unwân richement enluminé à l'or et en polychromie avec texte en fausse réserve sur fond d'or et marges à frise fleurie sur fond bleu vif intégrant des fleurons et des palmettes. Rosettes de séparation de versets, titres de sourates et médaillons marginaux enluminés à l'or et en polychromie. Colophon final enluminé ave texte en réserve sur fond d'or donnant le nom du copiste Shaykh ‘Ali, «élève de Shaykh Salih sur la voix de Rifa'a al-Qadri, résident de la tekkiye Qafan dans une ville soufie» ainsi que la date de 1253 H / 1837.
Reliure à rabat en maroquin grenat à décor estampé rehaussé de dorure d'un médaillon à double appendices et quatre écoinçons garnis de rinceaux végétaux.
Dimensions reliure: 18,6 x 12 cm

manuscript of 15 lines per page in Arabic in cursive calligraphy, in black ink, some characters and marginal notes in red ink. Double frontispiece in richly illuminated gold and polychrome unwân with text in false reserve on a gold background and floral frieze margins on a bright blue background incorporating fleurons and palmettes. Rosettes for the separation of verses, sura titles and marginal medallions illuminated in gold and polychrome. The final colophon is illuminated with the text in reserve on a gold background, giving the name of the copyist Shaykh 'Ali, "pupil of Shaykh Salih on the voice of Rifa'a al-Qadri, resident of the tekkiye Qafan in a Sufi city" and the date AH 1253 / AD 1837.
The book is bound in garnet-coloured morocco with an embossed decoration and gilt embellishment with a medallion with double appendages and four spandrels decorated with vegetal foliage.
Binding size: 18.6 x 12 cm
Condition: good condition, some loose folios, a few stains and wet spots, ink pen marks in the margins, slight wear marks on the binding.
