d'index], en latin. Plein vélin rigide, dos lisse titré à l'encre «Apulei Mad. Opera».
Gravure sur bois typographique sur la page de titre avec impression en rouge et noir. édition lyonnaise décorée de bandeaux et culs-de-lampe sur bois également.
Ce volume contient l'oeuvre principale de cet auteur et philosophe latin d'origine africaine, notamment Métamorphoses («Metamorphoseos») ou l'Âne d'or («Asino aureo»). Roman relatant les aventures du jeune Lucius, transformé en âne, avant qu'il ne puisse revenir à la forme humaine en mangeant un bouquet de roses.
Dans une seconde partie, diverses nouvelles.

of index], in Latin. Full rigid vellum, smooth spine titled in ink "Apulei Mad. Opera".
Typographic woodcut on the title page with red and black printing. Lyon edition decorated with headbands and culs-de-lampe on wood as well.
This volume contains the main work of this Latin author and philosopher of African origin, notably Metamorphoses ("Metamorphoseos") or the Golden Donkey ("Asino aureo"). Novel about the adventures of the young Lucius, transformed into a donkey, before he can return to human form by eating a bouquet of roses.
In a second part, various short stories.
