Description
quarter cloth, marbled paper on covers (some soiling, last f. underlaid). Old catalogue cutting pasted on front endpaper. In very good condition. 
Early manuscript of the French account of the Grimberg War and the Battle of Ransbeek (1142), a clash of the Berthout family and the Duke of Brabant. Joined :  1. a xerox copy of the manuscript.- 2. German letter, 1448 (“uff den sontag vor unser lieben frauwen tage natiuitatis”), by which Philipp Count Katzenelenboghe informs Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, of the peace made with Count Reiffenberg. Laid paper, c. 21 x 30 cm, written in black/brown ink, remains of seal. In good condition (original folds). Mod. transcript and notes added (3 ff.).-  3. “Procès-verbal de première enchère et d’adjudication définitive. Vente des domaines nationaux”. [Brussels], 3 Ventose An 8 (= 22 February 1800]. Printed form with manuscript text, [4] ff. (dampstained). On the sale of land, formerly the property of Grimbergen Abbey.- 4.
